Social-Media-and-Juvenile-Victimization-assignment-help-

Social Media and Juvenile Victimization

Computers, the Internet, and other technology tools have changed the face of modern society and made communication faster, easier, and more interactive than ever. Social media sites allow individuals from around the world to connect. Unfortunately, social media also has created new venues for victimization. Abusive activities before the Internet age were limited to physical interactions, face-to-face communication, or written documents. Now these activities have moved to the digital world and can enter into a child’s home, leaving no safe place for children. These digital crimes include cyber-bullying, cyber-stalking, and cyber-hate. Juveniles are often the victims of these kinds of digital abuse. One of the major challenges for today’s society is to determine how to mitigate digital juvenile victimization.

For this Discussion, search for and select a case in which social media played a role in a juvenile’s victimization. Then select one resource aimed at reducing juvenile victimization that has occurred through the use of social media, and consider whether this resource is effective.

Post by Day 2 a description of the case you selected, and explain how social media played a role in the juvenile’s victimization. Then explain two challenges the criminal justice system faces in addressing the role of social media in juvenile victimization. Finally, describe one resource aimed at reducing juvenile victimization that has occurred through the use of social media, and explain how this resource might be effective.

One and a half page with at least two reference….

A Developmental Approach (1 of 1)

Pragmatics governs how the form and content of language is used. It includes the intentions of language, body language, and the ability to provide an appropriate amount of information to the person with whom you are speaking.

Provide an example of when your ability to communicate due to an error in pragmatics resulted in miscommunication between you and the listener. Observe a child under the age of 2. If you do not have access to a child, then examine one on your favorite television program or through the Internet. Note his or her level of communication and his or her communication skills.

Observe his or her pragmatic behaviors and body language. How are pragmatics used to support the child’s communication? Be sure to provide examples

discuss-the-numerous-issues-beyond-the-legal-aspects-of-research-writing-homework-help

Ethical considerations begin the moment a researcher decides to research the answer to a question. For this question you will discuss the numerous issues beyond the “legal” aspects of research. Before, during, and after the research planning and process, ethics must be under the “microscope.” Your question is in two parts: Part 1 – Based on your ethical re-evaluation of scholarly research, what are areas that are challenging to evaluate as you read research findings? Consider the following: Worthiness of the project. Competence boundaries. Informed consent. Benefits, costs, and reciprocity. Harm and risk. Honesty and trust. Privacy, confidentiality, and anonymity. Intervention and advocacy. Research integrity and quality. Ownership of data and conclusions. Use and misuse of results. Part 2 – Given your own research interest, what do you ethical challenges do you foresee?
